FAQ

WILL MY INSURANCE PAY FOR OSTEOPATHIC CARE?
Insurance companies typically pay for osteopathic care as they would for any physician office visit. If you are not certain how much your insurance is paying for physician visits, you should call them.

IS DR. SHOLARS A MEMBER OF MY HEALTH PLAN?
Dr. Sholars is not a participating physician in any network, PPO or HMO health plan. This does not mean that your health plan will not cover Dr. Sholars’ services. We suggest that you call your plan and ask about their out of network policy.

WILL YOUR OFFICE BILL MY INSURANCE COMPANY?
Yes. We offer this service to our patients. We then allow up to 60 days from the time of service for insurance to respond before asking for the balance due.

DO I HAVE TO PAY AT THE TIME OF SERVICE IF I HAVE NO INSURANCE?
Most patients without insurance coverage pay at the time of service. However, monthly payment plans are an option for those who are unable to do this.

DO YOU ACCEPT MEDICARE OR MEDICAL?
This office does not accept Medicare or Medical. We do offer discounts to Medicare-eligible patients.

DO YOU ACCEPT WORKERS’ COMP PATIENTS?
Dr. Sholars is not available as a primary care physician for Workers’ Comp patients. However, if your primary care physician refers you to this office–with prior approval from Workers’ Comp–you can receive treatment at this office.
